Main Street in Johnstown
Does anyone remember the Carmel Corn on Main Street.?
I used to work there after school and on weekends. It would be overrun with customers after the football games Friday night. On the night of the Windber game it was a mad house.I think the whole town went to the game and then came there afterwards for a milk shake or an ice cream cone. I remember my Dad taking the family to Alwines Dairy for their huge ice cream cones. It was a regular weekly treat and part of the Sunday drive. Wonderful memories of a world that no longer exists.Ken Tomb
